The Altar Was Always Me

In QFFC, we say:
Prema is Divine Love expressed through embodied presence.
But here’s the hard truth:
When you’ve spent a lifetime overlooked, abandoned, or required to shrink—it can feel easier to love others than yourself.
So this year, on the eve of my 50th birthday, I made a sacred vow:
I would become the altar I’ve always been seeking.
The flag was too small.
But my love wasn’t.

I turned disappointment into devotion.
I lit candles not to fix anything—but to witness everything.
Because real sacredness isn’t performance.
It’s permission.
Permission to rise without applause.
Permission to claim joy without justification.
Permission to be the sacred space you always dreamed of entering.
In this season of your life, let this be your temple:
Your body.
Your becoming.
Your boldness.
You are the altar.
You are the flame. And you have always been holy.
