đ A Soulful Invitation to Play
Laughter is holy.
Play is sacred.
And sometimes, the most healing thing we can do⌠is not take ourselves so seriously.
This offering isnât about performing or being funny.
Itâs about loosening the grip of control, self-judgment, and perfectionâso our true self can breathe and maybe even giggle a little.
Improv for the Soul is a mini-practice in sacred spontaneity.
No stage. No spotlight. Just prompts to spark presence, joy, and permission to be a little weirdâin the best way.
đ Why Play Matters (Especially Now)
Many of us were taught that play was a reward.
Something you earned after being âgoodâ or âproductive.â
But in QFFC, we believe that play is medicine.
It brings us back to the moment, helps us regulate our nervous systems, and reminds us that freedom isnât something we wait forâitâs something we practice.
This is joy as a spiritual discipline.
This is laughter as liberation.
đ How to Participate
This is not a workshop or a live event.
Itâs a self-led soul practice with prompts you can try solo, with a friend, or even with kids or pets nearby.
Youâll find:
A short blog reflection (this one!)
Optional improv-style prompts to play with
A downloadable PDF
An optional video from Rev. Gin with one silly, soulful improv you can do along with her
All you need is a sense of humor, a willingness to be surprised, and a space where no one is watching too closely.
đŁ Sample Prompts to Loosen the Soul
Narrate your day in the voice of a Shakespearean oracle.
Pretend your inner child is teaching a TED Talk on joyâwhat do they say?
Move your body like it's made of spaghetti for 60 seconds.
Say âI love youâ in 5 different animal voices.
Channel your Higher Self⌠if she had just inhaled helium.
Pick one. Laugh with yourself. Laugh at yourself. Laugh for no reason at all.
âď¸ Reflection Prompts
What part of me feels most at home when Iâm playing?
What beliefs do I have about being âtoo much,â âtoo loud,â or âtoo weirdâ?
Where could I bring more joyful rebellion into my life?
