Birthday Sermons and Sacred Surrender

Not every sacred moment arrives the way we hoped.
Sometimes the party doesn’t happen.
The people don’t show.
The symbol comes too late—or too small.

And yet…God is still speaking.
This week, as I turned 50, I planned a celebration of self-witnessing.
But what I received was something deeper:
A spiritual sermon in surrender.
The flag didn’t arrive how I wanted. But what did arrive?
A peace that transcends performance
A joy that isn’t sourced in external applause
A fire that only lights when I stop begging for matches
This is Ananda.
This is Chaitanya.
This is the kind of bliss that doesn't need wrapping paper or RSVPs.
If you’re in a season where life feels quiet or your offering feels unseen—
Let me tell you this:
You are not waiting on divine timing.
You are divine timing.
And the sermon of your becoming is already echoing across the cosmos.
